Abigail Leavitt

Background

Abigail spent many summers working at AFG as a university student at Chester University before she joined us full-time in 2020 as a Paralegal in the Commercial Property Department. She qualified as a Solicitor in the summer of 2024.

Abigail has thrown herself into the firm and has been heavily involved in not only organising our own charity events but also taking part in extreme sporting challenges to fundraise for various charities over the years. She successfully completed Race the Sun for Action Medical Research where she ran, cycled and kayaked in the Lake District in addition to running the Manchester Marathon in 2022 for three charities with nine colleagues from AFG. She also represents the firm at various networking events and careers fairs.

In October 2023, Abigail won the Bolton Law Society “Trainee Lawyer of the year 2023”.

As a key member of the commercial property team, Abigail’s work to date has included:

– Adverse Possession and title reconstruction applications

-Complex first registration applications

-Stamp Duty reclaims

-Sale and purchase transactions (residential and commercial)

-Development acquisitions and development sales

-General mortgage and bridging finance (land and buildings)

Outside of work

Outside of work, Abigail loves to run and spends as much time as possible outdoors!
