Kate Bullen

Kate joined us in July 2022 to head up the Commercial Property team at AFG LAW.

After completing her training contract with Berrys Solicitors in Bolton, Kate qualified as a solicitor in May 2004.  She stayed with Berrys, which later merged with Stephensons, for a further 18 years and became a Partner in 2011.

Kate with her team, works across our Bolton and Bury offices and has vast experience in all aspects of commercial property work.

Areas of expertise include:

• Sales and purchase of commercial property
• Investment and portfolio transactions including mortgage and remortgages.
• Landlord and tenant law including leases and licences to assign and sublet, Deeds of Variation and licence to alter applications
• Commercial mortgages
• Pension scheme transactions including in specie transactions
• Development site acquisition and plot sales

Kate has numerous commercial clients across the UK, many of whom have been working with her for almost two decades.

Kate also has particular experience in acting for clients in the pharmaceutical sector as well as those investment clients with large portfolios that require management and advice on a daily basis.

Personally, Kate volunteers for several local charities and is on the board of directors for a local free school. In her spare time she also enjoys a number of sporting activities.
