Anita Boardman

Anita became Managing Director at AFG LAW in 2016 and is Head of the Private Client Department.

Since taking over the running of the firm, Anita’s role has changed significantly. Although still head of our Private Client Department, her role is also leading AFG LAW as the firm continues to embark upon its ambitious growth strategy.

Since 2016 under Anita’s leadership the firm has grown to double it’s previous size in both staff and turnover. New departments, processes and personnel have been introduced to improve efficiencies and Anita remains active in HR, operating an open-door policy for anyone who needs her.

Anita started her career with AFG LAW at the age of 19 as a junior secretary. She qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 1993 and specialised in residential conveyancing. One of Anita’s goals in life was always to become a Solicitor and, with the encouragement and support from the partners at AFG LAW, took the Legal Executive route and qualified as a solicitor in 2003.

She was made a partner in the Property and Private Client Department in 2006. Anita specialised in residential conveyancing for 20 years and has built a successful Private Client Department over the past 15 years, where she still works as a Solicitor supported by specialist staff dealing with Wills, Probate, Lasting Power of Attorney, Court of Protection applications and long term social and health care for clients.

Anita was pivotal in AFG LAW becoming a dementia friendly firm and we continue to take part in charity events to raise funds for various dementia charities.

Anita is the firm’s compliance officers for legal practice (COLP) and compliance officer for finance and administration (COFA).

Outside of work, Anita loves fashion and one day she would like her own fashion brand. She also loves to travel and regularly adds places to her bucket list when others tell her of interesting places they have visited, so her list is getting longer not shorter!
