What Is An Employment Tribunal?

This can be a dispute with an employer, professional body or trade union that you are a member of.

Employment disagreements which have not been able to be resolved by other means will often go to an employment tribunal, the result of which is legal and final.

The following is a few examples of cases can be heard at an employment tribunal:

  • Wrongful dismissal
  • Unfair dismissal
  • Discrimination
  • A breach of contract
  • Equal pay issues

There is a time limit of three months since your employment ended or when the issued happened in order to make a claim.
