Anita Boardman Celebrates 30 Years with AFG LAW

AFG LAW’s Managing Director is celebrating 30 years this month of when she first joined the firm, which was then Adam F Greenhalgh, as junior secretary and became Managing Director in 2016.

 

Anita’s story is one of inspiration and her enthusiasm is contagious. Hard work, determination and belief in her ability to succeed are the driving forces behind her success.

 

Anita started her career with AFG LAW at the age of 19 as a junior secretary. Her father was an avid Bolton Wanderers fan and she saw the position advertised in the Bolton Evening News. Although from Leigh, she has spent her whole career in Bolton and is passionate about the town and it’s vision.

 

She qualified as a licensed conveyancer in 1993 and specialised in residential conveyancing. One of Anita’s goals in life was always to become a solicitor and, with the encouragement and support from the partners at AFG LAW, took the legal executive route and qualified as a solicitor in 2003. She was made a partner in the property and private client department in 2006 and specialised in residential conveyancing for almost 30 years. The past 10 years, she has expanded the department to provide a full wills and probate service with a team of specialist solicitors.

 

Anita says “I am proud of what I have achieved and am passionate about developing our people at AFG LAW. If my story can inspire others to follow their dreams then I will be happy. AFG LAW has been a fantastic firm to work for and now steer. I have always felt supported in my career development and know that our staff feel the same. One of my proudest achievements since becoming Managing Director in 2016 was being awarded a 2-star accreditation in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for which acknowledge outstanding levels of employee engagement.”
