Mediation: A Different Route to Divorce

Wednesday March 4, 2015

Mediation: a different route to divorce.

The process of separating and divorcing is relatively straightforward but many couples are not familiar with how it works.

Did you know that before court proceedings can be issued, you MUST attend an initial mediation appointment?

Do it your way – mediation can help couples to reach amicable settlement agreements.

A trained mediator will sit down with you and your partner to discuss your circumstances, including finances and children, with a view to helping both of you to find a fair and sensible solution.

The mediation process is often quicker, less aggressive and less expensive than the traditional route to divorce. We can minimise the negative effects that a contested divorce can have on the parties and the children and help you to find the solution that best suits you.
