AFG LAW and our individual domestic abuse solicitors have supported local domestic abuse charities for years. We have good working relationships and can help our clients seek additional support above the legal advice we can provide. We have established clinics, visited refuges, given talks to increase understanding of how to help people access legal services, raised money and donated items families might need including Christmas presents. Manchester Women’s Aid supports women, men and children experiencing domestic abuse in Manchester. They run 5 refuges providing emergency accommodation for women and children as well as providing community support including specialist support through the mental health service, substance misuse practitioner and community language workers.
IRIS – Contact your GP and ask for IRIS
The IRIS programme supports women and men who are experiencing domestic abuse. If you ask your GP to speak to IRIS they will refer you to your local IRIS project
