Landlord’s Repossession Route where tenant has abandoned property

Monday January 27, 2020

Although the Housing and Planning Act 2016 completed its passage through Parliament and became law in May 2016, there are still certain parts of the Act which are yet to come into force.

One such Part is Part 3, which sets out a new repossession route where a landlord believes that their property has been abandoned by a tenant. No firm date has been announced for Part 3 coming into force but you can read more about it’s implications here and contact Matthew Taylor on 01204 377600 if you require further information.
