Emma Cordock and Natalie Owens’ Paris Marathon for The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity

Wednesday April 15, 2015

Before Christmas, Emma and Natalie started their training for the Paris Marathon; they had no chocolate, cakes, bad food or alcohol and followed the official marathon plan completely. It was a tough four months but it was worth it for their first ever marathon. They raised over £1,000.00 in sponsorship and raised awareness for The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity. They are also competing in a number of other events throughout the year to raise more funds.

The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity helps children who have or have had a brain tumour and provides families with advice, support and financial solutions with a special focus on those who have also had post-surgery disabilities. Another aim of the charity is to help raise awareness to the public, businesses and organisations of the need for improved changing facilities for young people and adults.

Emma and Natalie smashed the marathon in 4 hours and 35 minutes and they didn’t stop once.
