Monday March 18, 2019

Early Break, WHAG and The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity each receive £2,058 – our best year yet!

WHAG look after victims (women and their dependent children) of domestic violence in Bury and Rochdale. The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity supports children and their families who have had brain tumours and post-surgery disabilities.  Early Break provides counselling, support and information to young people aged 18 and under who are around drug and alcohol use.

The night was attended by 200 people, from large companies who booked tables to individuals with single tickets.  With a DJ, food, games rooms, raffle and plenty of dancing, a good time was had by all and most importantly the charities benefitted from everyone’s generosity.

“The evening was the best yet, topping over £2,000 for each charity! The fun and games seem to get everyone involved and not least, raise lots of money for these three fantastic charities.,’ said Emma Cordock, director and family solicitor at AFG LAW’s Bury office.  ‘At AFG we encourage staff to volunteer to support worthy causes and our team were out in force at the charity night with over 20 of our staff ensuring the event ran smoothly. Our charity night enables us to give something back to charities and help the work they do to help safeguard vulnerable people.’

The 2020 charity night will take place on 7 February 2020 – save the date!
