Cath has been qualified as a Solicitor for 8 years. Throughout her career, Cath has specialised in family law and in particular matters concerning children. In November 2006, she became appointed as a member of the Children Panel as a Children Representative and now predominantly specialises in representing children within public and private Law Children Act proceedings. As an experienced and competent advocate within her specialist field, Cath receives instructions to represent children from Guardians throughout the North West.

Cath is also a member of the Training and Education Sub Group of the Greater Manchester Family Justice Council. Part of her role includes, amongst other things, being involved in a Court Craft Skills training day held twice per year at the MCJC. The purpose of the event is to enhance the ability of those who are required as witnesses in child care cases to give evidence effectively and to improve their skills in presenting a case and responding to cross examination.
