Commenced Conveyancing in practice from 2004 and qualified as a Legal Executive in 2006.

Carl joined AFG LAW in June 1996 and began studying for his legal executive qualification. Since then, he has worked hard to progress through the company and became a Director in January 2017, heading up our property department.

As the firm expands, Carl remains head of our busy residential property department, having grown the team significantly as a result of his vision and leadership. Carl predominantly acts on behalf of clients in the sale and purchase of domestic properties, remortgages and equity release transactions – the latter of which he is registered as a panel lawyer as part of the Safe Home Income Plans (SHIP) Code of Conduct.

Born in Bolton, his local knowledge is second to none and he has an enviable reputation throughout the conveyancing market with clients and other professionals alike – staying true to his world and delivering excellent client service. Carl prides himself on being approachable to clients, advising in a way that they understand and always seeking to achieve the best result without cutting corners.

Carl is heavily involved in AFG LAW’s technology strategy and has introduced many new systems and processes over recent years, allowing us to provide an even more focused and efficient service to client’s across all departments. He continues to embrace change, welcoming new technology to carry the firm forward and constantly striving for improvement.

Outside of work Carl’s main interest is football, supporting Bolton Wanderers FC, although he doesn’t get to watch them as often as he used to do. He has also been a volunteer mentor for Bolton Lads and Girls Club and enjoys walking, is a volunteer Boarder for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and playing football at local level.
